Amanda Walsh is a writer / performer whose acting credits include CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM (HBO), LOST GIRL (SYFY), and the critically-acclaimed DIRK GENTLY (BBC America)with Elijah Wood.
Amanda’s feature work includes GHOSTS OF GIRLFRIENDS PAST starring Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner and Universal’s MERCY opposite Mark Duplass and Joel Courtney. Other notable credits include indie dramedy SEX AND DEATH 101 with Simon Baker, New Line’s FULL OF IT alongside Kate Mara, Dreamworks’ DISTURBIA with Shia LaBeouf, Hulu’s TREEHOUSE opposite Jimmi Simpson and Lorne Michael’s ABC series SONS AND DAUGHTERS.
As a writer, Amanda spent two seasons as a Story Editor on SCHITT’S CREEK (CBC/POP/Netflix) and her work on the series garnered her a WGC Award for Best Comedy Script. Her one act play, “Lucky”, was part of Hollywood’s Unscreened Series, and starred D’arcy Carden. She also co-wrote a pilot, The Untitled Walsh Gallo Project, that was optioned by 20th Century Fox.
Often in demand to lend her talents as a script consultant, Amanda finds joy helping her fellow writers hone their ideas. She is passionate about the way acting and writing can co-mingle, each informing and inspiring the other.
