The University of North Carolina School of the Arts is a top-ranked creative and performing arts conservatory in Winston-Salem, N.C. Founded in 1963 as America’s first public arts conservatory, UNCSA celebrates more than 50 years of training wildly creative, gifted and hardworking young artists to do what they love, and do it brilliantly!
The highly-ranked School of Drama has produced some of the most versatile and successful actors in theatre, film and television over the past fifty years. The School offers rigorous conservatory training grounded in classical values and offering technical skills that shape today’s in-demand actor.
At this top drama program, you will perform constantly in both small workshops and major productions in a variety of styles and learn directly from outstanding full-time faculty and acclaimed guest artists, including award-winning UNCSA alumni. Students receive invaluable on-camera training, and opportunities to explore creative entrepreneurship; showcases in New York, LA, Chicago and Atlanta offer coveted exposure to industry professionals.
