The vision of the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television is to serve as a premiere interdisciplinary global professional school that develops outstanding humanistic storytellers, industry leaders and scholars whose diverse, innovative voices enlighten, engage, and inspire change for a better world.

UCLA's programs offer the critical study of theater as a global phenomenon along with practice in acting, writing, directing, design and outreach education in the context of a professional school.

Many UCLA alumni have showcased their groundbreaking work at the world's premiere festivals, including: Berlin, Cannes, Sundance, Telluride, Toronto, Tribeca, Edinburgh, Humana, Los Angeles, SXSW, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, Melbourne, Jerusalem, Locarno, Stockholm, Prague, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Shanghai, Rotterdam, Buenos Aires, Bangkok, Chicago, and many other distinguished international research conferences.
