Purchase College

Purchase College students' practice is informed by offerings in dramatic literature and analysis, history of the theatre, stage combat, improvisation, physical comedy, makeup, acting for the camera, the business of acting, and audition technique. Purchase College is a member of the Consortium of Conservatory Theatre Training Programs.

Senior acting students perform a showcase of theatrical scenes for industry professionals in both Los Angeles and New York each year.

Each year, the conservatory presents several seasonal productions—exciting and bold interpretations of classic and contemporary plays that bring to the stage for the first time the next generation of actors, designers, and technicians. All conservatory productions are designed and produced exclusively by students under the mentorship of faculty and staff.
