How to Attend

Please donate minimum $20 per family (only one donation is needed). Email your AFC tax deductible receipt to singouthelpout@gmail.com and a private ZOOM link will be sent for you and your family to attend the event. This is a focused interview, where questions will be answered to help parents and young actors negotiate the industry better. Both Stephanie and Michael have successful young family members in the business and have been established casting directors for over 25 years.

Stephanie Gorin, C.S.A, CDC

Started casting over 25 years ago. Selected theatre casting: & Juliet, Dear Evan Hansen, Come From Away, Kinky Boots, Les Miserables, War Horse, Bombay Dreams, The Lion King.   Selected TV/FILM:  IT and IT Chapter 2, Shazam, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Fargo Seasons 1 – 3, Anne with an E, Private Eyes, 8 seasons of Degrassi.  Awards include:  Multiple Emmy, Artios, and CSA nominations including an Emmy win for Best Casting of a Mini-Series: Fargo,  Ontario’s Premier Award for excellence in Creative Arts. 

Michael Walters, C.S.A, CDC

Daytime Emmy Award nominee, Michael Walters began casting over 25+ years ago and in 2003, established Dayton/Walters Casting with his business partner, Sherry Dayton. Selected animation credits: Paw Patrol The Movie (upcoming), Snoopy in Space, PJ Masks, Esme & Roy (2019 EMMY Award Nomination for Outstanding Casting). Theatre credits: Harry Potter And The Cursed Child, (upcoming), Matilda the Musical, Once, Hairspray, The Producers, Jersey Boys.
